Transition and Growth

This year could be defined as transitional for me. I started out 2025 basically in my comfort zone, and got hit in the middle of January with an opportunity to step out of it- in a big way. When I made the decision to accept a new position that would take me to the other side of the country, I was nervous about so many of the unknowns since I had spent the last 9 years in the same area. I still can’t believe I did a 5-day solo cross country drive- did not have that in my plans for the year!

Has it been easy making this big of a change? Absolutely not! I struggle with anxiety, worry, and lack of confidence quite a bit, but I appreciate that Christ comes along and shows me that I don’t have to do it on my own. God has shown me this year that He can be trusted definitively. I also appreciate family members and friends listening to me share about my blessings and struggles and counseling me while also keeping me in prayer. I have found community to be so important as I made this change. My coworkers have also come alongside and assisted me through the transition into my new work responsibilities and have consistently been a group that makes me laugh and helps me loosen up.

In the short time I’ve been on the East Coast, I’ve met so many great people, been challenged to grow deeper in Bible study, and been given opportunities to better myself personally and professionally. Grateful for the growing year 2025 was for me!
